Special to Gulf Coast Newspapers

Baldwin County students in third through fifth grades - public, private or home schooled - are invited to draw or paint their “Dream Homes” on poster paper and submit them for judging and a chance to win prizes.

Children are encouraged to use bright, bold colors, since one poster will be chosen for the front of the special Parade of Homes tabloid publication. The contest is sponsored by Regions Bank for the 17th consecutive year in conjunction with the Baldwin County Home Builders Annual Parade of Homes.

The posters should be turned in at the Bay Minette, Spanish Fort, Robertsdale, Foley and Gulf Shores branches of Regions Bank by Aug. 26. The posters will be judged on Aug. 27 and photos will be taken of the children with their posters on Aug. 28.

The winning posters will be featured during the Baldwin County Home Builders Parade of Homes, Sept. 19, 20 and 26, 27. For additional information on the Parade, please visit www.BCHBA.com.

“We always enjoy seeing the children’s fresh ideas, the bright colors used and their creative imaginations while designing their “Dream Homes,” said Connie Gordon, vice president and branch manager of Regions Bank in Bay Minette.  Gordon has coordinated the poster contest, every year since the project’s inception.
