LOXLEY, Ala. – Special needs students from Central Baldwin Middle School visited the Loxley Volunteer Fire Department on Tuesday.

Fire Chief Timothy Curry said the visit was one in a series of events held by the Fire Department this week to commemorate Fire Prevention Week.

“We appreciate the help of the mayor and city council, which allows us to hold events like this,” Curry said.

Loxley Mayor Billy Middleton was on hand to talk to students on Tuesday. The LVFD also took its Fire Safety House to CBMS on Monday and plans were to demonstrate the structure at a pair of daycares and at Loxley Elementary School later in the week.
