Thomas Hospital and North Baldwin Infirmary Women’sBest had the opportunity recently to host the 8th annual Women’sBest Weekend in Orange Beach. It was a wonderful weekend of renewal filled with laughter and tears, education about health issues important to women, some fun programs, and relaxation that I hope gave the women who attended a much-needed respite from the everyday world.
The weekend could not have been possible without our very generous sponsors. The education and exercise sessions offered throughout the weekend by leading speakers and presenters were very well-received. We had a great selection of fun and informative booths in our exhibit hall, including some great shopping opportunities. Booth exhibitors included Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Bayside Orthopaedic, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics from Belk department store, Brown and McCool OB/GYN, Bruno’s supermarket, Cardiology Associates, Covenant Hospice, Ethicon, GLAM! Photography, Homestead Village, InSight Health Corp, Lopez Family Chiropractic, Lynwood Healthcare and Rehab, Mercy Medical, Montrose Bay Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Morgan Stanley of the Eastern Shore, Self Center P.C. and Springdale Travel.

Ladies also had the opportunity to participant in at least one free leisure activity during the weekend. Jan Zuleger and Barbara Ingram with Chico’s in Foley provided the fashions and commentary for the ever-popular fashion presentation. Models were Renee Davis, Gayle Fogarty, Linda Hargroder, Jackie Isaacs, Bonnie McNiel, Charlette Murphy, Maria Rosso, Lisa Stanley and Nancy Ursprung.
As always, a highlight of the weekend is the door prizes. Grand prizes were donated by The Beach Club, Marriott’s Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa and Fairhope Massage & Skin Care.
