Sue D. Raley passed away on August 24, 2012.
Sue was born in Cleveland, Tenn., on Nov. 2, 1934 to Helen and Walter Dixon. She moved to Bay Minette in 1975 and retired from the Tax Collectors office. She has been involved in First Baptist Church Choir and Sunshine Singers through these years and serving at Happy Hearts and at the Senior Center. Her survivors includes two sons, Joe (Keri) Raley of Bay Minette and Jeff (Tammy) Raley of Foley; two brothers, Melvin Dixon of McMinnville, Tenn.; Wendell Dixon of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sisters, Faye Nease and Dot Franks both of Cleveland, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Lily Raley, Coley Raley and Jared Raley and her special friend Tony Griffin. A service to celebrate her life will be held at First Baptist Church on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Dr. Henry Cox and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church or Bay Minette Senior Center. Funeral arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
