"3">Sue Magdalene Hicks Brown, 67, a longtime resident of Mount Vernon and Bay Minette, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. She was a loving wife of 46 years, a mother and grandmother. She had six brothers and five sisters.
"3">Preceding her in death were her sisters, Jean Day and Thelma Defort.
"3">Surviving are her husband, James Allen Brown; her sons, Kenneth Darrell Brown and Silas James Brown (Jeanette Brown); her daughter, Loretta Sue Brown; granddaughter, Valerie Marie Brown; grandson, Trent Logan Brown; step-grandson, Thomas Ethan Bradford (Melanie Bradford), all of Bay Minette; and sisters Peggy Frum, Mary Kountz and Sarah Lafoy.
"3">The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
"3">The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, from 6 until 8:30 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home.
"3">Pallbearers will be Tommy Brown, Mark Henderson, David McDonald, Jamie Threadgill, David Durham and Jason Howard.
