James Joseph Sullivan, 79, a native of International Falls, Minn., and a resident of Montgomery, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009.

He was a graduate of Auburn University.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. He and his family traveled extensively with the Air Force before he retired to Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Sullivan.

Survivors include a daughter, Stephany (Paul) Hannon of Fairhope; son, J. Gregory (Paula) Sullivan of Birmingham; five grandchildren, Paul (Savannah) Hannon of Mobile, Marjorie Hannon of Birmingham, Connor, Cole and Cooper Sullivan, all of Birmingham; many other relatives and friends.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Internment with military honors will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
