SUMMERDALE — During Tuesday’s installment of the Marjorie Younce Snook Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, Leigh Brewer of Magnolia Landscaping introduces participants to a variety of plants. The day’s activities also included representatives of Baldwin EMC presenting a “Call Before You Dig” program, crafts in which participants planted sunflower seeds in soft-drink-bottle hanging baskets, story time and chocolate cake and cupcakes iced to look like a truck digging into the dirt. The final installment is this coming Tuesday and features Mark Seymour presenting his “Be @ Your Best Program,” presentation of reading certificates and prizes.
