BAY MINETTE, Ala. — A Summerdale man was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree domestic violence after allegedly stabbing his roommate in the face and arm, according to Sheriff’s Maj. Anthony Lowery.

Wilburn Jackson Ard, 38, of County Road 9 was booked at 3 a.m. Thursday and remains at Baldwin County Corrections Center on $10,000 bail.

The victim was transported to Thomas Hospital in Fairhope for treatment. The wounds are considered non-life threatening, Lowery said.

Deputies were forced to use a Tazer to take Ard into custody upon arrival at the scene. Lowery said Ard became non-compliant and aggressive.
