Sunday: book-signing in Lake Forest

Posted

DAPHNE, Ala. — There will be a public book-signing at the Lake Forest Yacht Club, Nov. 4 at 3:30 p.m.

Glenn Frazier, a survivor of the Bataan Death March and Daphne resident, will sign copies of his book, “Hell’s Guest.”

He will speak on his experiences from 4 to 5 p.m. with a question-and-answer period at the end.

Guests are invited to meet and visit with Glenn and his spouse, Terri.

For those who would like to linger and watch the sunset while dining and swapping war stories, food and beverages may be purchased.

Other WWII veterans are planning to attend.

“With so few of these veterans left to tell the story, you will not want to miss this opportunity to meet and thank them for their sacrifices made for America’s Freedom,” Tomasina Werner, a spokesperson, said. “Hopefully, the veterans will wear or bring some of their memorabilia.”

If you have questions about this event, call Werner at 626-0227.

For more information on Frazier, see his Web site, www.hellsguest.com.

There will be a veterans parade in Mobile on Monday, Nov. 12. A luncheon honoring these veterans will follow.

Cost of lunch is $15.  Reservations may be made by calling Glenn Frazier at 626-6716.
