Susan Hays Robinson, 63, of Brady, Texas passed away Tuesday evening, May 6, 2014 at her residence.

She was born May 19, 1950 in Brady to Robert D. Hays Sr. and Mary Lou (Holland) Hays.

Susan worked as a legal secretary for 20 years in Mobile. She moved back to Brady in 2004 to care for her mother.

She was a member of the Christian Church. She loved her family and her cats and dedicated her life to caring for both.

She was a big supporter of the Second Chance Animal Rescue in Mason and Paws from the Heart in Brady.

Susan is survived by her mother, Mary Lou Hays of Brady; son, Ian Robinson of Brady; sisters, Marisha Lynn Chavers and husband Tony of Fairhope and Elisha Schumann and husband Leslie of Doole, Texas; nieces, Shelly Hays Hartin and husband David and Courtney Erin Chavers; nephews, Robert Aaron Hays and wife Lauren, Riley Schumann and wife Lexie and Will Schumann; great-niece, Hannah Hartin; great-nephews John Hartin and Landyn Schumann; Ian’s father, Todd Robinson of Temple, Texas; and Ian’s grandfather, Bill Robinson of Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert D. Hays Sr. M.D.; brother, Robert D. Hays Jr.; and sister-in-law, Rita Hays.

Funeral services for Susan Hays Robinson will be held Monday, May 12, 2014, at 2 p.m., at the First Christian Church in Brady, with the Rev. Pat Long and James Long officiating.

Interment will follow at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Leatherwood Memorial Chapel in Brady.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Chavers, Riley Schumann, Will Schumann, Aaron Hays, David Hartin, Jake Long, Daniel Amyett and Nathan Castro.
