Susan Kennedy Stuardi of Fairhope, Alabama died on March 29, 2018 at the age of 73 surrounded by her family.
Susan was born to Walter and Ida Mae Kennedy in Duluth, Minnesota.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Richard Stuardi, Fairhope, Alabama; daughters, Lisa Paige Stuardi (Giulio Pappalardo) and Tracy Leigh Stuardi; granddaughters, Matilde Helene Pappalardo and Beatrice Colette Pappalardo; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Susan received her B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and her M.A. degree from the University of South Alabama. She had a long career working to assist people with disabilities and with mental health needs. She retired from the Alabama Department of Mental Health after 35 years of service.
Susan served on multiple boards of professional, civic and service organizations in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas and was an active volunteer.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness during Susan's illness.
Memorials may be made in Susan's name to the Friends of the Fairhope Public Library.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at the Fairhope Inn, 63 S. Church St., Fairhope, AL 36532.
