DAPHNE, Ala.—Police took a Daphne man into custody for the alleged burglary of three Lake Forest homes Tuesday.
The suspect, Judson Hayward Buford Jr., 37, was charged with three counts of burglary in the third degree, and the stolen properties were recovered were recovered, police said.
Reports state that the police were called to a residence at the 400 block of Ridgewood Drive in the subdivision for a burglary, and officers found two other residences that had been burglarized while investigating the scene.
According to reports, detectives responded to the scene when an investigation showed that the alleged crimes had been recently committed.
Reports state the suspect in the alleged crimes fled on foot with stolen property to woods behind the crime scenes. The suspect was lying next to a log with the stolen items and was taken into custody by authorities, police stated.
