ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Robertsdale Police Department is looking to identify an individual in connection with the fraudulent use of a credit/debit card at Walmart.

Lt. Rex Bishop with the Robertsdale Police Department said at around 9:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, an individual used a credit card with numbers that were not theirs.

“We believe we have identified the individual as not being from this area,” Bishop said, “and the credit card used was not from this area.”

Police believe that surveillance video captured the suspect leaving Walmart shortly after the credit card was used inside the store.

Bishop said the case is not related to the fraudulent use of a debit/credit card reported Feb. 16 at the Chevron in Robertsdale. That incident reportedly occurred between midnight Jan. 28 and midnight Feb. 11, according to reports.

If you have any information that may help lead to the suspect’s identity, you can contact Bishop at the Robertsdale Police Department, 251-947-2222.
