Robert Lawrence Szepek, 31, born in Syracuse, N.Y., and a resident of Mobile, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Ellen Andrews Szepek; his maternal grandmother, Loretta Andrews and his paternal grandparents, William and Estelle Szepek.
Survivors include his father, Robert William Szepek of Bay Minette; step-mother, Cathy Peterson Szepek of Bay Minette; grandparents, Wes and Joyce Andrews of Cicero, N.Y.; two brothers, Timothy Jeff Szepek of Pass Christian, Miss., and James Michael Szepek, U.S. Army, Ft. Lewis, Washington, in Iraq; two step-brothers, Chuck Kernells of Bay Minette and Brandon Kernells of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; and life-long friend, Aaron (Tracy) Plaisance of Long Beach, Miss.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport, Miss., with Pastor Stephen Crane officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
