Taste of St. Peter set for Feb. 4 in Bon Secour

GULF SHORES, Ala. — The Taste of St. Peter's will be held Feb. 4, in Bon Secour, from 11 a.m. until the food runs out. The theme for the event is "Come visit Bon Secour."

St Peter's Episcopal Church is located at the intersection of County Highways 10 and 49.

The menu of Southern specialties - planned to introduce - the area's Snowbirds to this cuisine - features Shrimp Bisque.

Also on the menu are Hot Chicken Salad, Dian's Potatoes, Conecuh Sausage, Cheese Grits, Colloard Greens by Tin Top Restuarant, Cornbread Muffins, Bread Pudding, tea and coffee. The cost is $10 a person. Proceeds go to the church's outreach program

A bake sale with specialties of the Episcopal Church Women be held during the tasting.

Churches in Bon Secour will be open that day for tours, including St. Peter's Episicopal Church, Our Lady of Bon Secour Catholic Church, Morgan's Chapel United Methodist. There is no admission for these tours.

The Swift-Coles Historic Home, Bon Secour's Tiderwater Mansion will also be open for tours. The admission for those tours is $5, payable at the home.
