Taxpayer trap

This is Part 3 in a series on tax freedom

Let’s begin with two Truth Shots:

•Hunters use animal traps to catch their prey.

•Politicians use tax traps to prey on citizens.

Last week we noted that “almost every citizen feels trapped and overtaxed” by the impact and the effects from all of the taxes that government levies upon them”.

This week, we point to a coming and surreptitiously hideous Tax Trap.

This Tax Trap is in addition to the numerous ones already planted along the pathway that all productive Americans must travel, such as the automatic increase in taxes set to take effect after the 2012 election if the so-called Bush Tax Cuts are not continued and the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT).

The looming trap is designed to lull citizens asleep. When the time is ripe, the tax trap will be foisted upon the people under the guise of — take your pick:

•Tax Reform;

•Lowering the National Debt; or even as

•A way to prevent excessive spending in the future.

Of course, if individual citizens are not lulled into a political sleep, they won’t buy into the political con. But, more likely, some will be ensnared by the potent political rhetoric. Others will go along, cast in supporting roles in the political play to sell the masses on this hideous tax trap.

What is this tax trap?

The so-called Balanced Budget Amendment.

The related Truth Shot is: Beware of any political proposal dressed up as a balanced budget amendment. Consider this as a heads-up, a warning, an alert. Here’s why.

The Washington soap opera now unfolding is leading our domestic economy toward a cliff.

At risk too are the American people, especially citizen taxpayers. All Citizens are increasingly at risk of losing our freedoms. They are already being taken for a ride.

The Political Soap Opera, already rehearsed in Washington, is ready to hit the road to further entertain political insiders while manipulating the people in Summer Political Theater around the country. Taxpaying Americans will be driven over a very real political cliff at the soap opera’s surprise ending. That tax trap cliff is the Balanced Budget Amendment.

Regrettably, those who are less responsible along with those who are recklessly irresponsible have typically voted for certain incumbents as well as for certain candidates who are committed to the continuation of the politics-as-usual gravy train.

It is that very gravy train that has fattened spending levels at every level of government and, as a result, placed incredible tax burdens on American taxpayers.

No scale can measure the financial stress and emotional anxiety placed upon most citizens. Bad government at every level  is drowning Americans in debt. Worse, bad government has been maliciously drowning productive citizens, using their very heavy tax hands to push all taxpayers under.

Stealing is wrong whether it is being perpetrated on the streets by bad people, in communities by gangs or by the gang of bad politicians on every American or a group of certain Americans.

By immediately stopping excessive taxation and, removing tax traps from Americans’ pathways, we can preclude the risk inherent in a balanced budget amendment.

To be continued.
