The Daphne Public Library will kick off their “Teen Tuesday” summer reading workshop series with a Yoga demonstration on Tuesday, June 5 at 3:00 p.m. Teen participants will experience an invigorating  workout with yoga coach, Susan Bordenkircher. Mrs. Bordenkircher was named Instructor of the Year in 2003 by the International Alliance of Fitness Professionals. In March 2006 her first book, “Yoga for Christians” was published. She has released several fitness DVDs that are sold nationally.

Teens will be introduced to basic yoga techniques. Yoga strengthens the body and helps improve coordination and focus.  By enhancing coordination skills, teens can experience a reduction in injury during sports or other physical activities.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes for the workshop. To register for the yoga workshop and others events in the “Teen Tuesday” series, visit the Daphne Library’s website at http://www.daphnelibrary.org/departments/young-adults/event-sign-up.

The Daphne Library encourages our local area youth to participate in our “Teen Tuesday” summer reading workshop series. Additional workshops will highlight science, dance and food preparation. The hour long workshops will be held on four consecutive Tuesdays of June at 3:00 p.m. Our summer reading special events are sponsored by the Friends of the Daphne Public Library.  The library offers these events free of charge to the community.
