Gulf Shores ladies tennis team met for lunch on March 15 at Longhorn steak house. Members from left to right are Pat Woodham, Karen Anderson, Judy Wilson, Evelyn Poltz, Rosa Willis, Linda Stanfield, Frieda Harrison, Kim Humphrey, Anne Bice, Nell Seavey. Not pictured but on the tennis team for Gulf Shores are Myrna While, Marilyn Bookerm Coleen Mayers team captain and Barb Freeman.

These ladies participate in matches all over the Gulf Coast including Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Bluewater Bay and Shalimar Point, Fla. They are a part of the greater Pensacola Ladies Tennis league but all live in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Ala. Gulf Shores currently has six teams that travel to all parts of Gulf Shores, Ala. and Florida to compete. They participate in weekly matches and during the spring season, they enter approximately 12 matches. During the spring season last from February until May each year.
