"font-family:">Teresa Ann “Bippie” Gaines, 63, a native of Macon, Ga. and resident of Daphne for the past year, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011.
"font-family:">As the firstborn in her family, she was committed to helping raise her brothers and sisters.
"font-family:">She worked at Kroger for more than 20 years as a cashier. She was also a nurse assistant.
"font-family:">Teresa was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Macon. She will be remembered by her family and friends for being a loving mother and grandmother.
"font-family:">She was predeceased by her mother, Mildred “Mama D” Dunn.
"font-family:">Surviving are her son, Stephen (Lynn) Gaines of Silverhill; her daughter, Amy (Keith) Tyson of Daphne; stepson, Todd Slaton of Byron, Ga.; stepdaughter, Heather Church of Grey, Ga.; two brothers, Reggie Dunn of Byron, Ga. and Phil (Melissa) Dunn of Warner Robins, Ga.; four stepbrothers, Richard, Mark, James and Michael; two sisters, Brenda Dunn of Warner Robins, Ga. and Beth Dunn Williams of Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepsisters, Janett and Dianna; her father, Darden H. “Papa” Dunn and stepmother, Helen Dunn, both of Byron, Ga.; five grandchildren, Corey and Kyle Gaines, and Rebecca, David and Christine Tyson; and many nieces and nephews.
"font-family:">A celebration of Bippie’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 129 S. Houston Road, Warner Robbins, Ga., with the Rev. Bill Bagwell officiating.
