The Haven participates in Fairhope’s Fall Farmer’s Market

Fairhope, AL  - Fairhope will again be having their Summer Farmer’s Outdoor Market starting Thursday, May 24 and continuing every Thursday through July 5.  From 3pm to 6pm, behind the Fairhope Public Library, people can gather to see the best of the local area – vegetables, flowers, produce, baked goods, and even shelter pets. The Haven, a no-kill adoption guarantee shelter homed in Fairhope, will be present at each outdoor market to showcase the best that they offer.

“Fairhope’s Outdoor Markets would not be the same without The Haven,” says Alex Robinson, Special Events Coordinator for the City of Fairhope.  “Everyone loves seeing the animals each week!  It’s also a great opportunity for the community to learn about The Haven’s upcoming programs and community outreach.  We are grateful The Haven participates and love what it adds to the market!”

The Haven volunteers will be manning the shelter’s site and will be selling Haven T-shirts designed by local artist Nancy Raia, sturdy leak-proof Aloksak bags for disaster preparedness, and a very colorful cat book.  In addition, FREE Maddie’s Activity Books for the kids, FREE spay and neuter information, will also be available.

About The Haven Adoption Guarantee Animal Shelter

The Haven rescues, re-habilitates, and re-homes over 900 animals each year serving Baldwin County since 2000.  The non-profit animal shelter is responsible for leading the four municipal animal control shelters into creating a no-kill society for companion pets, caring for over 70 homeless cats and dogs at the shelter on any given day, and finding loving homes for these homeless, injured, neglected and abused and abandoned animals.  All animals are vaccinated, evaluated both behaviorally and medically, fed, watered and marketed until they find their forever home.
