ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- The Orange Beach Garden Club has selected the residence of Tommy and Linda Tucker at 5098 Bay Drive, Orange Beach as the April Residential Yard of the month.

The well-maintained lawn is on a corner lot with mature trees, azaleas and camellias. Linda Tucker is shown standing by a double peach hibiscus and a single yellow hibiscus. The poinsettia from Christmas is still blooming. They have tomatoes in several containers.

All of the ferns, hydrangeas, elephant ears, mahonia and jasmine make for a beautiful yard.

The campus of Orange Beach United Methodist Church at 28751 Canal Road, Orange Beach has been selected for the club’s Commercial Yard of the Month Award.

The campus of OBUMC was in full color with the blooming of the pink azaleas planted in the shape of a cross in the Memory Garden and the brightly colored annuals at the entrances of the Sanctuary and the Brooks Center.

Much attention to detail was paid to the grounds as the church prepared to celebrate Easter on April 8.

The Garden Club has a special connection to the landscaper of the OBUMC campus as one of their past scholarship recipients, Bailey Callaway of Callaway EarthCare, handles all of the lawn care and landscaping. Bailey has done an excellent job cultivating and maintaining the gardens and lawns of the church.
