Thunder on the Gulf Events Coordinator Kathy Melson says the powerboat races in Orange Beach will go off at noon as scheduled.
"I just got out of the driver's meeting and they said they are read to go," Melson said Sunday morning.
There is a high wind and rip current advisory in coastal Baldwin because of strong easterly winds. There is also a 20 percent chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon.
