Thelma Virginia Pierce died Saturday, July 2, 2011.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Bay Minette where she served as a Bible School teacher. She was a past Cub Scout Den Mother in Capital City.
She was a member of Capital City Chapter of Alabama Organization of Government Accountants. She served all office positions of Montgomery Pilot Clubs of Pilot International, also serving as president.
She was a fund raiser for Camp ASSCA and Project Hope. She loved to sew. She volunteered at the concessions for the Alabama Christian High School basketball games.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Pierce of Bay Minette and Cecil Pierce of Evergreen; two daughters, Theresa Pierce of Evergreen and Amanda Shipp of Bay Minette; two brothers, John Emmons of Bay Minette and James Emmons of Fairhope; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
