Therry Richard Hays 8/29/1941 - 11/1/2017
Therry Richard Hays, 76, passed away at his home Nov. 1, 2017 after fighting a lengthy battle with kidney disease and numerous other ailments.
A small memorial was held Nov. 4 at Morgan's Chapel in Bon Secour, Alabama, where he was a member.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as reading, traveling, fishing, building and fixing things. He proudly served in the United States Navy, primarily aboard the USS Oriskany.
His remains have been donated to USA Medical School in Mobile, Alabama for cancer research as he wished.
He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Therry and Gladys Hedden Hays (deceased) on Aug. 29, 1941.
He is survived by his brother, Hugh Hays; son, Rick Hays; daughter, Dawn Hays Edwards; six grandchildren, Brandon Hays, Sharon Hays, Allie Hays, Haylee Hays, Kristal Edwards and Jordan Edwards.
