Rachel McInnis Thomas, 82, a native of Fairhope and a resident of Montrose for more than 59 years, died Monday, May 24, 2010.
She was a graduate of Florida State University.
She and her husband were charter members Trinity Presbyterian Church and Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church.
She was a talented artist and musician.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jack Thomas of Montrose; four sons, Boots Thomas of Mobile, Thorn (Beth) Thomas of Fairhope, Michael (Barbara) Thomas of Fairhope, Daniel (Millie) Thomas of Charlotte, N.C.; three daughters, Kista Dorgan of Atlanta, Karen (Tom) Behl of Auburn, Ill., Tina (Steven) Ridge of Houston; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursdasy, May 27 at St. James Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Montrose Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Mulherin Custodial Home, 2496 Halls Mill Road, Mobile, AL 36606.
