Thomas Henry Brown, 72, passed away at his home in Rabun on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Walter and Mae Opal Brown; and daughter, Jennifer Brown.

Tom served 11 years with the Alabama National Guard. He retired from Monsanto in 1992 as an instrument technician then worked for Regal-Brown in Daphne for several years.

Tom was a faithful Sunday School teacher, choir member and deacon at Southside Baptist Church in Bay Minette. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and shared that love with all those he came in contact with.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Eloise Whidbee Brown; daughter, Joanne Logan of Spanish Fort; sons, Thomas Benjamin Brown and wife, Deana, of Atmore, Timothy Whidbee Brown and wife, Amanda, of Raceland, La.; seven grandchildren, Hayley Ryan Logan, Savannah Marie Brown, Dallas Whitney Brown, Thomas Austin Brown, Kyle Henry Brown, Gabrielle Louise Brown and Tomie Cyrus Brown; one sister, Susie Coker and husband, Jimmy, of Atmore.

Services were held Sept. 02, 2011 from the Presley Street Baptist Church in Atmore with Dr. Larry Patterson, Rev. Carl Thompson and Rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Atmore.
