John G. Thomaston, 77, a native of Opp and resident of Spanish Fort, died Monday, May 31, 2010.
He retired from ADSCO, Mobile then owned and operated Spanish Fort Mini Storage before his second retirement.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Thomaston and Jerry Thomaston; and two brothers, Adolph Thomaston and Lawrence Thomaston.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Laura Nell Thomaston of Spanish Fort; two daughters, Vicki (Joe) Rada of Silverhill and Beth (Jim) Henson of Daphne; four sons, Jack Thomaston of Robertsdale, Tommy (Cathy) Danner of Spanish Fort, Joe (Kandi) Danner and Billy (Kristy) Danner, all of Daphne; two sisters, Roberta Shaw of Bay Minette and Elnora (Earl) Vaughn of Loxley; two brothers, Charles Thomaston of Stapleton and Arnold (Virginia) Thomaston of Bay Minette; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 2 at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 3 from the funeral home chapel with Dr. Kirsey officiating. Burial followed at Rosinton Road Cemetery in Loxley.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
