FOLEY, Ala. — Three people have been arrested in recent Foley robberies.

Foley Police arrested 52-year-old Larry Shoots, 40-year-old Christina Shelby and 54-year-old James Nolan, all of Foley, for robberies of the south-end location of Approved Cash Advance, the south-end location of Dollar General and Glen Lakes Golf Course, as well as the theft of an ATM machine located at Gelato Joe’s, a case still under investigation.

“On March 15, Christina Shelby drove Larry Shoots to the Approved Cash Advance and dropped him off at which time the location was burglarized,” Lt. David White said in a news release. “The Foley Police Department received surveillance video from an adjoining business that showed a vehicle dropping off someone.”

He explained that a Foley Police officer identified that vehicle.

“When the vehicle was identified, this led to the identification of Larry Shoots as the offender,” White said.

Nolan was arrested in the middle of last week. However, White added that investigation led to a search warrant of Shoots’ residence, where evidence of the robberies was recovered. They then arrest Shoots and Shelby.

Nolan was booked into the Baldwin County Jail in Bay Minette Friday on charges that include two counts of robbery in the second degree, one count of robbery in the third degree and a count of theft by deception. On Saturday, he was released on a $15,000 bond.

According to the Baldwin County Jail website, Foley Police previously arrested Nolan in 2010 on charges of being a fugitive from justice.

Shoots was booked into the Baldwin County Jail on Friday, where he remains on charges that include three counts of robbery in the first degree, one count of burglary in the third degree and a count of theft by deception in the first degree.

Baldwin County Jail ‘s website indicates that Shoots’ arrest record dates back to 1988.

Those same records show that on Friday, Shelby was booked into the Baldwin County Jail on a charge of burglary in the third degree. She was released that same day on a $5,000 bond.

According to the Baldwin County Jail website, this is Shelby’s sixth time to be booked into the facility since 2005.
