ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Three City of Robertsdale Utility Department employees were relieved of their jobs on Tuesday, June 21 after an investigation revealed the theft of some electrical equipment valued at $500 to $1,000, according to Robertsdale Assistant Police Chief Brian Middleton.

No arrests were made and no names were released and the investigation will mostly conclude this weekend, Middleton said. The incident occurred last week and was not related to any copper thefts.

Scott Gilbert, City Public Works Director, did not have any comment and referred all questions to the police department.
