Thurman “Butch” Jones Jr., 69, of Daphne, passed away peacefully at the VA Hospice Facility in Biloxi, Miss. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
He was a graduate of Midview High School and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Laura Jones of Grafton, Ohio.
He is survived by sons, Thurman Jones III of Vermilion, Ohio and Thomas Jones (Jeannie) of Naples Fla.; a sister, Ada Burke of Fairhope; two nephews, Tyson Cawley (Chalse) and Dieken Cawley; two nieces, Nichole Dugan (Bob) and Maggie Burke; five grandchildren; and his cat, Prissy.
Funeral services will be private.
