GULF SHORES, Ala. — During football season, he is the first voice you hear and the last voice you hear during University of Alabama Crimson Tide football broadcasts. In the winter and spring, he is the play-by-play voice of Tide basketball and baseball.

On Monday, Fairfield native Chris Stewart will be the guest speaker at the Gulf Coast Athletic Club meeting in Gulf Shores.

A 1992 graduate of the University of Montevallo, Stewart has done work for CSS, ESPN, Fox Sports South and is a four-time recipient of the Alabama Sportscaster of the Year Award by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Before joining the Alabama broadcast team, Stewart was the radio announcer for Birmingham-Southern College, being part of two NAIA national championship broadcasts in 1995 by the men’s basketball team and in 2001 by the Panther baseball team.

Supporting local athletic programs, the Gulf Coast Athletic Club meets at the Cotton Creek Clubhouse at Craft Farms. Guests or prospective new members are welcome for a gust fee of $25 which can be applied to dues should you join the GCAC. Spouses and dependent children of members can attend for $15 with advance reservation.

Make your reservation today to hear Alabama broadcaster Christ Stewart on Monday evening, beginning at 6 p.m., by contacting Fred Dickinson at 975-1500 or Dec McClelland at 968-9010.
