Tillie K. Stephens, 95, entered eternal life on Jan. 11, 2015.
Her spirit is carried on by her two children, one grandchild and an extended family of relations, friends and students who’ve taken her encouragement and lessons to heart.
Tillie was a native of Summerhill, Pa. and a resident of Fairhope for more than 60 years.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
She was a lover of books and poetry, and joyfully devoted many years to the students, faculty and parents of Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education.
She was predeceased by 11 siblings.
She is survived by her son, Michael (wife, Kathy); daughter, Pamela; her beautiful granddaughter, Lydia; and many other family members too numerous to list but who are not forgotten.
Tillie was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing. She is reunited with her husband and the love of her life, Lloyd E. Stephens, who departed this earth in 1952.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Baldwin House and Oakland Place for their attentiveness and loving care.
Memorials may be made in Tillie’s name to Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education in Fairhope.
Arrangements by Pine Rest Funeral Home, Foley.
