David Michael “Big Mike” Turberville, 47, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008 in Fernandina Beach, Fla.
He was a lifelong resident of Uriah and was the president of the Semirah Springs Hunting Club, where he taught youngsters to love and appreciate the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Turberville; sister, Eloise Turberville; and brother, Carl Ray Turberville.
Survivors include his mother, Anna M. Turberville of Uriah; his wife, Lannette Turberville of Mineola; three sons, Benjamin M. Turberville of Canoe, Chad J. Turberville and Austin L. Turberville, both of Mineola; four brothers, Elbert Turberville of Excel, Wesley Turberville, Floyd Turberville and Arnold Turberville, all of Uriah; three sisters, Frances Phillips of Uriah, Ernestine Browning of Huxford and Joann Taylor of Uriah; and one granddaughter, Jenna Shane Turberville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Mineola Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Montgomery officiating. Burial was in the Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Petty Funeral Homes, Atmore.
