Ruth L. Turner, 91, a native of Clinton, Iowa, died peacefully Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 at a local healthcare facility.
She was an avid golf and bridge player. She had lived in Southern California for over 70 years and leaves many devoted friends from coast to coast.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Agnes Brodersen; her husband, Lt. Col. Henry M. Turner Sr.; and two sons, Henry M. Turner Jr. and Brooks Turner.
Survivors include a sister, Helen M. Hubbs of Fairhope; one granddaughter, Stacey (Jim) Bullock; two great-grandchildren, Mason B. Bullock and Kendall B. Bullock, all of The Woodlands, Texas; three nices, Judith (Marvin) Wilder of Fairhope, Marsha Karr of Richland, Wash., and Terry Turner of Fullerton, Calif.; nephew, Fred Olson of Nipomo, Calif.,; sister-in-law, Joyce Turner; nephew, Monte (Loie) Turner, all of Missoula, Mont.; dear friend, Wanda Crocker of Point Clear; many grand nieces and nephews.
Interment will be held at Fort Richardson National Cemetery in Anchorage, Alaska.
