Turtle Fest 2025 to bring sea turtles to life at Gulf State Park Pier

Families and nature lovers will gather at the Gulf State Park Education Pier on Saturday, Sept. 27, for Turtle Fest 2025, a daylong celebration of Alabama’s coastal wildlife and sea turtle conservation.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offers a mix of educational exhibits, children’s activities and conservation programs. Admission is $5 per person. Parking is free with passes available at the ticket tent.

Organizers say the festival will showcase sea turtle biology, nesting facts and the importance of ocean conservation through interactive stations and live demonstrations. Visitors can expect expert talks, hands-on exhibits and kid-friendly learning opportunities, all set against the backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico.

Gulf State Park is hosting the event in partnership with the Alabama Coastal Foundation, Marine Resources, Share the Beach and The Gulfarium. Together, the groups aim to engage the public in protecting and preserving Alabama’s marine life.

“Dive into a day of discovery at Turtle Fest 2025, a family-friendly celebration of all things sea turtle,” organizers said on the event page.

The Education Pier will serve as the meeting place for all activities, offering sweeping views of the coastline and an opportunity to connect with local wildlife.
