ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Two suspects wanted by Shreveport, La., police in connection with the shooting death of a Shreveport teen were once thought to be heading for Robertsdale last week.

That does not seem to be the case anymore.

“We received intelligence that they were in another state,” said Major Anthony Lowery of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office in an e-mail. “We now have no reason to believe that they would come here.”

Lowery added that as far as he knew Tuesday morning, the suspects were still at large.

Police are looking for Joshua R. Parker, 20, of Mansfield, La., and Norman “Don” Heflin, 20, of Shreveport. Police believe that Parker and Heflin should be considered armed and dangerous.

When contacted, a Shreveport Police Department spokesman declined to give a reason why they thought the suspects were coming to this area.

They were last seen in a 1996 gold Mercury Grand Marquis with Colorado license plate number 529 TAY. Police say that Parker owns the vehicle.

Parker and Heflin are wanted in the shooting death of Phillip Livigni, a Shreveport teen. He was found with a gunshot wound to his back June 5 and was later pronounced dead at a Shreveport hospital.

Anyone having any information regarding Joshua R. Parker and Norman “Don” Heflin or their whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at (318) 673-695. If they are seen in this area, please call 911 or the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office at (251) 937-0202.
