LOXLEY, Ala. — Two Loxley men are facing drug and child endangerment charges after police found what they describe as a methamphetamine lab.
Daniel Bradford Ross, 21, and his father-in-law, Richard Marc Brownlow, 54, both listed on the Baldwin County Department of Corrections website as having addresses on Third Avenue in Loxley, were arrested Friday at Ross’ home after Loxley police responded to a report of a domestic dispute, possibly involving a weapon.
According to reports, while investigating the dispute, officers found the two men in the back yard of the property standing next to an outbuilding.
Inside the outbilding, Phillips said, officers found a working meth lab.
Ross and Brownlow were both arrested and charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, first degree, which carries a $25,000 bond.
Two counts of child chemical endangerment and one count of reckless endangerment were added after Ross’ 2-year-old twins were found at the residence in the care of their mother. The child endangerment charges each carry a bond of $10,000, while the reckless endangerment charge carries an additional $1,000 bond charge.
Both men remained in the Baldwin County Corrections Facility on Tuesday, each with a $46,000 bond.
Police continue to investigate the domestic dispute claims, Phillips said, and additional charges are pending in the case.
