DAPHNE, Ala. — Authorities are seeking two men who robbed Wachovia Bank Wednesday morning, according to the Daphne Police Department.

Two black, mask-ed men entered the bank, located at 28520 U.S. Highway 98, at 11:13 a.m., armed with hand guns, and robbed the business, according to police, who reported no injuries.

The suspects drove off in a red, 1999 GMC Z-71 extended cab pick-up truck, license number 2C2582K, according to officials, who said the vehicle was reported stolen Tuesday in Saraland.

“There were five employees in the bank at the time,” police Capt. Daniel Bell said, adding, “They pointed the gun at the group,” but no shots were fired.

Police hadn’t identified the guns used in the robbery, however, Bell said, “it’s either gonna be a revolver or an automatic.”

The suspects may be linked to another robbery, though details are unclear.

“We’re looking at that possibility,” Bell said. “As of yet it’s (the investigation) still in the preliminary stages.”
