FOLEY, Ala. - United Methodist Church will host a prayer and worship event Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. at Heritage Park in Foley.
The Foley City Council unanimously approved a motion allowing the church to hold the event on city property.
"The activities are mainly prayer and worship," a church spokesperson told the council at Monday's work session. "It's inter-denominational."
The spokesperson said around 500 people are expected to come.
"Maybe a little more," the church representative said. "We don't know. We invited all denominations."
