Take a LIVE UNITED photo and compete for a chance to win a new flat screen TV. United Way of Baldwin County has extended the deadline for its LIVE UNITED 2010 Photo Contest. The organization wants to see how individuals live, work and play in Baldwin County. The contest runs through Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 and all entries will be registered in a random drawing to win a new 26-inch flat screen television.

Photos can be of individuals or groups and should be taken in a recognizable location in Baldwin County. Pictures can represent every day life, such as an afternoon at the beach, or events like high school football games or fall festivals. All entries must include the words “LIVE UNITED” in highly visible form. Photos will appear on the United Way of Baldwin County web site and may be used for promoting the organization’s events.

A LIVE UNITED t-shirt isn’t necessary for the photo or to win, but participants who would like to include the shirt in their pictures can purchase one for $5 at Best Friends Gallery, 161-A N. Hoyle Ave., Bay Minette; Page and Palette Bookstore, 32 S. Section St., Fairhope; Regions Bank, 1400 Gulf Shores Parkway, Gulf Shores; and United Way of Baldwin County, 700 N. McKenzie St., Foley.

The contest is open to all ages and school children are encouraged to submit entries. Each household can submit up to three digital images. Upload your JPEG files only to www.unitedway-bc.org/photo_entry.html. Files should be at least 300 DPI (the bigger the better). Only digital images will be accepted. Slides or prints will not be accepted. To view the official contest rules, find answers to frequently asked questions, or view LIVE UNITED contest photos visit www.unitedway-bc.org.
