Foley, Ala. -  The Foley Mardi Gras parade will not be rescheduled, Charles Thompson, event organizer, said Monday morning.

The parade was scheduled for Saturday but was cancelled due to inclement weather.

"We would have to go before the city again," Thompson said when asked why the parade won't roll through downtown Foley at a later date.

He said he hopes to have a contingency plan for next year.

This would have been the 14th year the city had a Mardi Gras parade. Thompson said the parade had 26 units signed up.
