ELBERTA, Ala. — With a single search warrant, Elberta Police have seized 48 grams of methamphetamine and made four arrests.
Early Monday morning, police entered a residence in the 2400 block of Woerner road, confiscated the drugs, which are valued at $5,500, and arrested 37-year-old Stephanie Dawn Gardner Harrison of Robertsdale and charged her with drug trafficking of methamphetamine.
“We’d been working on some information on a girl selling drugs,” Elberta Police Chief Stan DeVane said.
That same warrant led Elberta Police to arrest 36-year-old Crystal A. Motes, who was arrested for illegal possession of prescription drugs; 34-year-old Daniel Richard Booth of Robertsdale for possession of drug paraphernalia and two outstanding warrants in Elberta and Summerdale; and 34-year-old April Leigh Davis of Robertsdale for possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
All four were taken to Foley City Jail, with additional charges pending.
According to DeVane, the entire operation took about four hours.
“We started a little after midnight and ended after four o’clock Monday morning,” the police chief said.
At press time, additional information about Motes was not available.
However, the other three arrested have previous records. According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office website, Davis was arrested in October for failing to appear on a traffic charge. Following Monday’s incident, she was transferred to the Baldwin County Jail and released on a $296.50 bond.
Harrison’s arrest record dates back to April 2004, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Since then, she has accumulated several drug and traffic charges over the years. She is currently being held in the Baldwin County Jail on a $1 million bond.
Booth’s record with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office dates back to June 1999 and includes a history of theft of property charges, probation violation, possession of marijuana and multiple traffic violations.
