The Swing Dolls present “A Tribute To The USO”

Loosen up your 'Jitterbug' moves for the USO Tribute show coming to tyhe beaches on Jan. 28 and 29.  Showtimes both nights are 7:00 pm.

Replicas of Columbus’ ships will open in Gulf Shores. Both ships will be touring together as an enhanced “sailing museum” for the purpose of educating the public and school children. Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many explores. The ships will be docked at Lulu’s Homeport Marina, 200 E 25th Ave, Gulf Shores.

At 6:30 pm, the Original Oyster House will provide heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and soft drinks. The benefit sponsors Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast, a home for homeless pregnancy women. In addition to proving a safe, loving atmosphere for these women while they wait the birth of their child, counseling and training programs for childcare, career planning, job training for their future. Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast accommodates homeless women of Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties in Florida as well as Mobile, Baldwin and Escambia counties in Alabama. It is located in Elberta.
