ORANGE BEACH, AL - The second phase of plaza improvements at the Beach Express Bridge will be available starting May 6.

Improvements will include expanded use with our new Beach Express Go Tag in all lanes, dedicated express lanes for Beach Express Go customers and advanced traffic monitoring which will result in improved service to our valued customers.

Dedicated express lanes will be available for local residents and travelers during peak times for those that upgraded their FreedomPass account to a Beach Express Go account.

FreedomPass cards are convenient and enable customers to quickly pay their toll by tapping their card in the lanes. Beach Express Go Tags are even more convenient as they enable customers to have a hands free instantaneous transaction. No more searching for cards or rolling down your window.

All FreedomPass customers can upgrade to the Beach Express Go Tag at no charge through Labor Day, Sept. 5, receive two (2) Beach Express Go Tag’s at no additional charge.

The plaza at Beach Express was expanded in 2015 which reduced crossing times by 10 percent. The express lanes along with the traffic improvements along Canal Road will reduce travel times even more.

Additional plaza enhancements are expected in 2017 which will add capacity, create dedicated Beach Express Go lanes 24-7 and improve signage. Beach Express constantly works toward improving service and reducing delays for our customers.
