FOLEY, Ala. - Uptown Foley's Community Yard Sale scheduled for Saturday has been postponed "due to unforeseen circumstances," a press release stated.

    It was scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon in the uptown alley behind Hotel Magnolia, but due to a death, the committee had to postpone the event.

    "There has been a death amongst our committee, and we needed to postpone until a later date," Katie Spratlin, committee board member, said.

    Spratlin said those who paid money to reserve a space to sell their items will be contacted on Thursday.

    "We will discuss with them refunding of their payment and a later date," she said. "We probably will have to regroup as a committee (to decide on a new date)"
