Generations have been awed and inspired by the hands-on historical attraction on Mobile Bay, the USS Alabama. At nearly 700 feet in length, this vernerable warship from the World War II era was brought rest, and opened for public inspection, in 1965.
What became "Battleship Memorial Park" added the submarine USS Drum for public display in 1969. Today, the park features over two dozen military aircraft, dating from the World War's P-51 Mustang to the Cold War era's A-12 Blackbird and fighter jets. You can even feel the sensation of military aviation in our Flight Simulator!
The park is open daily at 8:00 am (admission required), located on the Mobile Bay causeway at 2703 Battleship Parkway, Mobile AL.
