Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walker of Alcoa, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shandus Bree Valentine, to William Ryan Parish, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William “Scooter” Parish of Madison.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Henry County High School and Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn. She works at Bowling Green University in Ohio with the University Honors Program.
She is the granddaughter of Robert and Shirley Porter, Kenneth Valentine of Paris, Tenn., and the late Annetta Valentine.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Sparkman High School in Madison and attended Belmont College from 2006 to 2008. He will attend Cambridge University in England this summer and Bowling Green Univeristy in the fall.
He is the grandson of John and Mary Ella Kidd of Fairhope, Dot Parish of Fairhope and the late Charlie Parish.
The couple will exchange vows Nov. 22, 2008 at St. James Episcopal Church in Nashville, Tenn.
