Rose Ritter Vanderwood, 90, a native of Altamont, N.Y.,, and resident of Fairhope for 30 years, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at her residence.
She enjoyed playing golf, cooking, gardening, and socializing with many friends.
Survivors include a son, Alan R. Vanderwood of Rotterdam, N.Y.; two grandsons, Richard Samuel Vanderwood and Carl Joseph Vanderwood; one great-grandson, Tyler Vanderwood, all of New York, niece, Joanna Ashford (Billy) Giddens of Franklin, Tenn.; two nephews, Robert (Sarah) Ashford of Lakeland, Fla., Tom Jones of Franklin, Tenn.
A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24at the United Methodist Church in Fairhope.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
