Varena M. King, 90, a native of Belle Glade, Fla. and resident of Gulf Shores, died Monday, June 6, 2013.
Mrs. King is survived by her sons, William (Billy) King III of Gulf Shores and Howard (Linda) King of Elberta; daughters, Karen (Francis) Kane of Perdido Beach, Debbie (Steve) Love of Perdido Beach and Peggy Pugh of Gulf Shores; son Dennis (Jayne) King of Foley; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Pine Rest Funeral Home, with the visitation from 9 until time of service. Interment will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Mrs. King’s name be made to Wounded Warriors, 3343 Peachtree Road N.E. #M20 , Atlanta, GA 30326, or St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O. Box 300, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
