Clarence Noel Vaughn died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at a local medical center.

He was born and raised in Birmingham. He graduated from Auburn University in 1955 with a degree in Civil Engineering.He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron Engineering Firm. He was presently working as a private contractor.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lewis and Mary Vaughn, and brothers, Marion and Charles Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Epperson Vaughn of Foley; three sons, Patrick(Margaret) Vaughn of Annandale, Va., Michael (Rhonda) Vaughn of Denver, and Shaun (Inez) Vaughn of Houston; two sisters, Mary Louise Mardis of Tallahassee, Fla., and Elizabeth Davis of Birmingham; brother, John Vaughn of Huntsville; step-children, John (Kim) MacNaughton of Fairhope and Catherine (Dennis) Chandler of Mobile; grandchildren, Wesley, Claire, Hannah, Jakob, Joshua, Kennedy, Jacob amd Blakley; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Vernant Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Vernant Park Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangments are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., Foley.
